TCS Selection Procedures:

TCS Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 60% in both class 10th and 12th. Additionally, the academic gap should not exceed 2 years. During select placement visits, TCS extends direct interview opportunities to candidates with 85% and above marks throughout their academic journey (10th, 12th, and graduation).

Procedure for TCS Campus Placement:

TCS placement drives typically consist of three rounds:

  1. Written Test: The written test comprises questions covering quantitative aptitude, verbal reasoning, and logical reasoning. Consistent practice and effective time management during the written test are crucial for success. The test usually includes 35 questions to be solved within 60 minutes. Since 2013, TCS tests have incorporated negative marking, deducting 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer. Therefore, candidates are advised to answer only questions they are certain about. Topics covered in the written test include equations, time and distance, number system, time and work, ratio and proportion, as well as probability for the quantitative section. The verbal section encompasses antonyms, synonyms, word usage, and vocabulary-based questions, while the reasoning section includes topics like blood relations, truth and lies, object arrangement, and number puzzles. Results are typically announced within 2-3 hours, and successful candidates proceed to the technical interview.

  2. Technical Interview: During the technical interview, candidates are assessed on their understanding of technical subjects studied during their graduation. Comprehensive knowledge across all semesters is essential, as interviewers may pose questions from any subject area. Candidates should be prepared to tackle questions confidently, and may even be given the opportunity to choose their preferred subject for questioning. Additionally, candidates are questioned about their college projects.

  3. HR Interview: The final round is the HR Interview, evaluating candidates' communication skills and conversational abilities. Only candidates who clear the technical interview proceed to this stage. The HR Manager typically initiates the interview with a request for a brief self-introduction, followed by related inquiries. Candidates can prepare using commonly asked HR Interview questions
